SIRIUS 3RW52 General Performance soft starters are the ideal solution for standard applications. With ideal 3-phase motor control (3 thyristor), Soft starters are available in a performance range up to 5,5 – 315 kW (at 400 V) in the inline circuit and up to 560 kW (at 400 V) in the inside-delta circuit.

In addition, the SIRIUS 3 soft starter has the following outstanding features:

• Integral bypass contacts mean that no power loss has to be taken into account at the power semiconductors (thyristors) after the motor has started up.
• Soft torque for smooth ramp up and run-down, reduced mechanical loading and optimum pump stop (avoiding torque peaks by means of torque limitation).
• Integrated electronic motor overload protection with adjustable trip class (Off, CLASS 10A, 10E, 20E)
• Adjustable RESET MODE (Manual RESET, Remote RESET, Auto RESET) for the functions of motor protection
• Extended full motor protection via optional thermistor motor protection for connection of a temperature switch (e.g. Thermoclick), a thermistor (e.g. PTC type A) or optional analog output for displaying a set measured value using an external evaluation unit (voltage or current).
• With their modern hybrid switching technology, the SIRIUS 3RW52 soft starters offer efficient switching for long-term, energy-saving use.
• Optional HMI modules (3RW5 HMI Standard or 3RW5 HMI High Feature ) and plug-in communication modules (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP and Modbus) provide maximum flexibility.
